Situatedat the meeting point of the San Gabriel and San Bernardino Mountains, the Cajon Pass is cut through by Interstate 15 as it passes from the ruins of San Bernardino to the Hub. Prior to the Great War, Cajon Pass was home to several large towns, including Union City and Athens in the Victor Valley and the towns of Big Bear Lake and Pinehaven in the nearby San Bernardino Mountains. The Pass was also reputed for a Hollywood television game show park by the name of Xiabula. In 2053, the area was hit by an outbreak of New Plague[1] On October 23, 2077, the region suffered three direct nuclear strikes during the Great War: One along Interstate 15 just north of the city of San Bernardino, and another in the mountains, cutting off Interstate 138 west of Pinehaven. The third struck near Fort Daggerpoint.
During the Great War, a hardened group of military Survivalists and other refugees sheltered in the Athens-Tec Mine, surviving the bombs, and emerged several decades later. The Survivalists quickly dominated the surrounding tribes and raiders of the Pass, occupying the old pre-war communities of Big Bear Lake, Athens, and Union City, establishing a military autocracy ruled by the original Survivalist families supported by large populations of slaves and tribal or raider servants, surviving on freshwater filtered from Big Bear Lake and fed by large slave fields of maize and fungus grown in the mines. With an army of over 5000 well-trained paramilitary soldiers, they faced little threat from outside forces and came to trade with towns as far away as New Reno, using their control of the largest source of gold and uranium outside Redding and Broken Hills to ensure their neighbors left them alone.
Another tribe native to the region was the Psychos, a confederation of violent Raider tribes who had tamed mutated spiders to provide them with healing and drugs, to counter the parasitic bloat flies native to the Pass. Eventually, these tribes were incorporated into the Survivalist's "Raider Alliance," their emblem of the skull and hubcap becoming the symbol of the Alliance.
In 2157, the inhabitants of Vault 18 broke their vault's seal and emerged into the Pass, sending several scouting expeditions out. They swiftly came into conflict with the Survivalist's Raider Alliance, and as a response founded the Wasteland Scouts to defend their Vault from external threats.
After the destruction of the Unity in 2162, a large group of Super Mutants, refugees from the Master's army, under the leadership of Papa Bug Bear, entered the Pass, and took up residence in Fort Daggerpoint Air Force Base, largely keeping to themselves, with only occasional trade with the Alliance for slaves, particularly those untainted by radiation. They would become known as "demons" to locals of the area.
In 2200, Vault 18, facing overpopulation issues and fears of an earthquake damaging the Vault, sent out colony expeditions into the Pass and nearby Hesperia, Crestline Valley, and San Bernardino - these colonists would adopt a tribal lifestyle and forget their Vault heritage to protect its location. These tribes became known as the Exodite or Star Tribes and quickly came into conflict with the Alliance and Fort Daggerpoint super mutants.
As the 22nd century began, the Pass had become entirely surrounded by the growing New California Republic. Lying directly along I-15, control of it was vital to securing NCR trade routes between the Hub and Dayglow, as well as securing access to southern Nevada and the valuable resources said to lie there. Despite being practically next door to the Hub, the heavily-entrenched Survivalists presented too much of a potential waste of lives for the NCR to risk war, resulting in a tenuous "peace" with the Alliance broken by the occasional skirmish.
I am brand new to the MOD world, I just downloaded fallout 4 on my laptop through my Xbox game pass. I downloaded some mods through the games mod option but cannot find the cbbe mod to get a few skin mods to work. I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to download the cbbe and put it into the games files to work with the game. I'm older so all this stuff is new to me and I'm not even sure where to start. I figured the easiest way to get easy to understand instructions would be to ask y'all. thank you for any help you can give me in making this a simple as possible process.
this was the part I figured might be an issue, which is why I was trying to do the modding manually. I had a feeling playing through game pass might be an issue. I got the CBBE.exe file to load and the character can be naked now, unfortunately this wasn't my end goal, I was trying to have my character be able to wear the CBBE lingerie options that are one the F4 pc Xbox mods options, but it still doesn't show up.
So am i right in thinking that anyone/anything can look at a searchable marker regardless of the icons they have on their unit card (lockpick, magnifying glass, computer), but they can only use an action to interact if they do have the relevant icon (lockpick icon needs Lockpick skill etc).
If you start the game with a Limited Use Item on a unit card, then anyone in that unit has access to it regardless of the distance between them. They can also share it with anyone within yellow of any one of the models in the unit. If a model in a unit picks up a Limited Use Item from a Searchable Marker, can that also be used by any model in the unit regardless of distance between them?
It probably sounds a bit odd that a model can not pass an Item directly to another, but the reason for this is to keep things simple, it prevents players gaming the system to provide models with equipment they would not normally have access to, and prevents all models sharing one Laser Rifle between them by just passing it around.

Grant's Pass, a peaceful farming community in the beautiful Rogue River valley, is a growing town prospering under the protection of the Free Northwestern Army, who have made Grant's Pass their provisional capital. The New California Republic, funneling resources to the FNA and sending caravans through town, has also breathed new life into Grant's Pass. However, the town's tranquility belies a dark past and a rather burgeoning problem in the present.
Grant's Pass was originally founded in 1887 in the Rogue Valley of Oregon. The town grew slowly over the next two hundred years, though still remaining rather small and unimportant. The Resource Wars and Sino-American War had little effect on Grant's Pass, beside stoking some paranoia among the townspeople.
Things changed when the bombs fell on October 23, 2077. Grant's Pass was not hit directly from any nuclear weapons but did get hit with leftover radiation and black rain. The unprepared died in their homes or on the road, attempting to flee. However, there were those paranoid few in Grant's Pass that stocked up on weapons and built their own fallout shelters, surviving the initial dangers of the wasteland.
Those survivors mostly stayed underground for about two years before most of them emerged in 2079 to find Grant's Pass abandoned but mostly undamaged. Finding each other, the survivors decided they had two options: attempt to scratch out a living in their town or head north to Seattle, which many had heard was a safe zone still held by the Army. The town's sheriff, a lucky survivor of the Great War, favored staying. The survivors tried to solve the problem democratically and voted to try to get a majority decision, but they were unsatisfied with the results of the vote, getting no clear majority. So, nearly half of the survivors headed north to Seattle while the rest stayed in Grant's Pass and elected a new mayor, eventually electing the pre-War sheriff.
The remaining residents of Grant's Pass only just managed to get by for the first hundred years after the Great War, always teetering on the brink of destruction either from starvation or outside threats. There were particularly bad harvests in 2088, 2105, and 2160, but these difficulties were weathered. The outside attacks were harder to get around. Grant's Pass was attacked numerous times by an outlaw biker gang in 2080, who fought the townspeople to a standstill before finally leaving. Grant's Pass was continually attacked for three years by tribal cannibals from 2105 to 2108, exacerbating the food problem at the same time. In 2113, the town was attacked by an alliance of gecko trappers and raiders looking to clear the place out, which failed. Grant's Pass was sacked in 2130 by vicious Oregon tribals but quickly rebuilt.
Soon after its last bad harvest in 2160, the luck of Grant's Pass began to turn. The fertility of the Rogue Valley finally recovered to pre-War levels in 2163, bringing in many more crops than previously. This was assisted by a large-scale water purifier that was built in 2161, bought from a caravan from San Francisco. Grant's Pass soon entered a new era of prosperity, now able to have a stable existence and even sell commodities like food and purified water.
The town came under attack again in 2192, again from Oregon tribals. The tribals were repelled but at a heavy loss of life. The town's mayor at the time, Nahum Birch, decided it was necessary for Grant's Pass to establish a formal militia to protect the town from the savagery of the waste. With the town's new surplus of money, the militia was armed with decent weapons and equipment. They were tested later that year against more Oregon tribals and easily warded off an attack on Grant's Pass. The town was safe, for the moment.
In the 2230s and 2240s, slaving was becoming an increasingly important institution in Northern California, stemming mostly from The Den and the Slavers Guild. At first, things were pretty easy from slavers, seeing as isolated homesteads and wandering nomads were easy prey. That began to change with the advance of the NCR north and NCR Rangers' deadly campaign against slavery in the south. So, some slaver teams began looking to the savage north for opportunity, seeing no organized government to stop them.
