As I leave for IC in
next 10 days, I wanted to share unfortunate news with you guys. I write to
you to inform you about the resignation of one of the members of the AIESEC
Baroda EB 13-14 team – The Mentalists.
Devansh Shah (LC VP M/PR) had to step down from his role on the EB of
AIESEC Baroda, because of personal reasons which were intense and made it
unavoidable for him to continue on the EB for the next 5 months. Such
decisions are always difficult to take for anyone and challenging for a
team to go through and as AIESEC Baroda EB we hope you treat
this information in the best manner possible.
Devansh have contributed immensely to AIESEC and I want to appreciate his hard work and dedication towards the organization while
wishing him good luck for their future endeavors.
I ask all of you to treat this matter with utmost maturity
and seriousness. I also expect you to respect the reasons
and circumstances under which all of this happened and not allow any
kind of ungrounded communication happen in this regard. Speculations
and rumors need to be sidelined and your role in this is critical. I
count upon your support in this regard and in case of any queries
please feel free to contact me by phone at +91 9586980694 till midnight
tonight or email me in the next couple of days about the matter. Please keep
this as the only option for any kind of communication or expression.
Implications:
Devansh was responsible for Marketing and Public Relations, his key projects
were Recruitments, Collaborations/partnership, Holistic External Brand
positioning.
Currently, for Marketing oGCDP and TM will take up Recruitments Promotions,
where as social media will be handled by our dear VP IM Prawal, Collaborations/Partnership
will be taken need based (as per events), PR will be taken up by iGCDP and will
also be Event Based.
As a 11 member EB team now, we are fully dedicated to making our new EB plan a reality to ensure we are strongly moving forward as AIESEC Baroda and enable achievement of 2013 Goals. After JNC have been difficult for us but I have a great team which is extremely committed to AIESEC Baroda and is all geared up to work even harder in the next 5 months of our term. I am privileged to lead such a set of people whom I love and I hope you understand and respect their emotions at this stage.
Again, would like to re-iterate, I request each one of you to respect Devansh’s
privacy in this matter and deal with the situation through the facts
presented above. I will be available to clear any of your doubts.
