Hi folks,

For those of you on LinkedIn, i've started a new group called "Data
Mining in Astronomy". Not that I seek to replace what you have
going here, mind you, but there is nothing wrong with having multiple
avenues of outreach. In that same vain, I also started some time
ago a blog about this emerging field:

be renamed!)

I've been updating it sporadically, but I think it would be great to
open it up to contributions from others - really build a
collaborative community-based effort filled with paper summaries,
software reviews, how-to tutorials, news items, etc. Again, I don't
want to take anything away from this group, but there is just more you
can do in a blog-like environment in terms of education, outreach,
networking, and descriptive content.

If you're interested in getting involved, I'd love to have help!
