There are so many facts and influential situations mentioned in The World Is Flat. It is difficult to develop questions to discuss within our time frame. So, I would like to ask you to consider bringing your thoughts (May 7) on the items listed below and/or something from the latest news that applies to his theories in the book.
Questions for Discussion:
(1) What is the most surprising (maybe positive) aspect to you, maybe the one thing that you talk with friends about?
(2) What is the most chilling, negative aspect?
(3) What can we as individuals do to alert people or organizations to implement some of Friedman's suggestions that we agree with?
(4) Is there anything we could encourage AAUW to do?
(5) Did you notice an omission of an issue that you think is very important?
