Wrapping Up a Busy Summer; A Look at US Venture Deal Flow

Carly and I had a productive summer focused on developing our portfolio. We strengthened our relationships with existing Yale-connected portfolio companies and added eight new deals over the last few months, concluding a very busy stretch! Stay tuned in upcoming newsletters for more details on some of these deals.

This month, our VC Chart highlights a regional breakdown of US deal flow (Source: Pitchbook).  It shows that venture dollars do flow across all parts of the country.  At the same time, the West Coast retains its status as the top region, garnering 38% of the Q2 deal count and 58% of Q2 deal value, driven by an increasing amount flowing into West Coast later stage deals.
