Aathmeeya foundation - Aksharaa Charitable Trust (ACT)

Dear all,

We have a started a mission  "Aathmeeya foundation" couple of years before with a vision to support the ones who are in need. We pro-actively collected the funds and also helped for several causes. We were very happy when we see our donations helped the ones who are in really need. 

                                                                                                                                                                         

Unfortunately, we have stopped this activity from few days to get the trust registered and to complete legal formalities in order to get the funds rightly tracked and to provide the tax exemption under 80G for the donors. 

 

Meanwhile I become part of another trust "Aksharaa Charitable Trust (ACT)" which we have recently started and registered under Companies Act on 08 February 2014 and will soon be registered under 80G to offer income tax benefits for our donors. This trust started by my colleague (Sanjay Kumar) and we become part of this initiative with a clear vision and are moving forward. 

 

As a first step (but not the last), We have clearly defined our vision to improve the quality of education in rural schools. We are providing strong support to strengthen English language and Math skills, in rural students. The Trust also encourages all-round development of children by sponsoring sports equipment and extra-curricular activities.  

 

The Trust runs on the generosity of our donors. We invite you to support our mission. Your donations will help us fund these needs:

 

1.      Teachers (Rs. 5000/- per month per teacher)

2.      Notebooks & stationery (Rs. 350 per child)

3.       School bags (Rs. 375 per child)

4.       Sports equipment (please check with us to understand the need for each school)

Its no way we are stopping and are redirecting our efforts to new one Chaitu. This is on hold as no efforts been spent by any one of us to get this registered and take this forward. We will re initiate soon with complete stable way.

Since no progress happening on our end, and lot of efforts is required to make this LIVE (not an easy task... but not too complex also). We need to complete this when we find time. So I become part of this new organisation (not the company :-) ) as a volunteer to support the education in govt schools (as now its all corporate and we know the situation in govt schools). My mail was to support this cause till we go LIVE with aathmeeya. just a self satisfaction as we are doing something good to our routine job. Interested people can become part of this and I'm sure the funds that we donate will be spent so wisely for the cause and happenings will be posted on the facebook to keep everyone updated.
