2. AASU Community Retreat
The annual summer community retreat hosted by the AASU will be taking
place in August. More information will be sent out soon with details
regarding date, location, etc., so stay tuned!

3. 2010 Public Service Career and Internship Fair
Don’t miss your opportunity to network with representatives from more
than 75 federal agencies across government during the 2010 Public
Service Career and Internship Fair, hosted by the Partnership for
Public Service. This year’s event will be held on July 14 from
3:00-7:00 p.m. at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C.
Admission is FREE!
Agencies will be recruiting for a variety of internships and entry-
level positions including special agents, engineers, program analysts,
financial specialists, environmental scientists, IT specialists,
economists, contract specialists and more. Check out the list of
registered agencies, learn more about what to expect and sign up for a

4. Union of North American Vietnamese Student Association
(uNAVSA) Conference
· The uNAVSA conference is held annually during the summer and
this years will be on July 29th to August 1st in Washington D.C
· This is one of the largest youth conference aimed specifically
towards young Vietnamese Americans
· Through out the conference there will be workshops, speakers,
and open discussion to help develop leadership skills,explore issues
in the Vietnamese American community, network and much much more.
What do you need to do??
· First you need to register an account here, its pretty easy
http://unavsa.org/conference/registration/ just follow the steps
· Fill out your profile
o You'll need a face portrait of yourself to submit because you'll
be getting an awesome name badges
· After you make an account you will need to pay the
registration fee
o Early registration fee: $67.25 ends June 1st
o Regular registration fee: $87.85 beginning June 1st
o Late registration fee: $103 beginning July 17th
· ATTENTION!!!!!
o Last year AAST was able to pay the registration fee for the
attendees
o They were able to pay fully for 4 members, and pay half for 8
other members
o I will talk to AAST this week to see if they are able to help out
again this year
· So for now if you are interested in going, make an account,

5. College Democrats National Convention
The CDA Convention will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina, from
Thursday, July 29- Sunday, August 1, on the campus of UNC Charlotte.
Transportation is provided, housing is $25 per night and registration
is $65. It's a great experience overall, both in general and at the
national APIA Caucus meeting, which every year is a great experience
to meet fellow APIA democratic activists from across the country.
