Be a part of NAPAWF DC's new and improved Mentorship Program!
Make a friend. Make a sister. Make a difference.
The NAPAWF DC Chapter has revamped their Mentorship Program and will relaunch in September! The National Asian Pacific American Women's Forum is an organization which focuses on advancing social justice and human rights for Asian Pacific Islander (API) women and girls. The DC Chapter created their Mentorship Program last year and after listening to feedback, we have made it better than before!
We have provided more substantial guidelines in order to ensure that a beneficial relationship will develop. In addition, we will provide workshops and discussions for mentee personal and professional growth. The NAPAWF Mentorship Program is structured to help AAPI college students prepare and network for careers focused on AAPI issues. The mentorship will strive to provide personalized advice and suggestions as well as friendly, comfortable relationships with NAPAWF members.
The program lasts through the 2012-2013 academic year, starting in September and ending in May. Per semester, the program will hold workshops and get-togethers for further developing mentor/mentee professional and friendly relationships.
Most of these events will take place in the OCA National office near the Dupont Circle metro, 1322 18th St. NW, Washington, DC 10036. Any logistical updates will be sent to the participants of the program.
