Hey everyone,

Great last meeting tonight! 

Quick announcement: I'll be studying abroad in the fall and I'm happy to announce our new leadership for next year: co-leaders Cat Chen and Junnie Kwon! They're going to do an amazing job and I'm excited to see all the progress come winter. 

For our next speaker event, here are some lessons learned:
  • more of an outline of what they should and shouldn't talk about
  • reach out to Asian and Asian American Alumni network and the LinkedIn group (NU Asian/Asian American Alumni Association)
Goals for next year:
  • apply to become an official club through ASG (C-status)
  • stronger social presence (karaoke outing)
  • sign up for Wildcat Connection and run the activities fair for freshman (September 22)
  • develop a marketing plan to increase membership (change profile pictures to join AASJ)
  • reach out to various publications on campus and ask them to have their writers join us (go to their meetings and present!)
  • fall: speaker event, Forever Yogurt fundraising, networking event, mentor/mentee program set up
  • create a LinkedIn group
