Here are some updates:
Mei-Ling said that at the Medill faculty meeting to discuss funding our members for the AAJA Convention, they decided to resolve it by the end of this week, so I'll keep you updated!
Speaker event: Susanah Song and Nancy Loo (check out their awesome bios!) will be our round-table speakers on May 23 from 2-4. Thanks to Rachel and Sally for contacting them! Let's publicize!!
Here are our tasks to do so:
- Rebecca: create the flier by Friday
- Cat: create FB event and share with us + reach out to Sociology Dept., Watchdog and Stitch about our event
- Sally: reach out to NNN, Medill (all BSJ groups) about our event
- Andrea: reach out to NUAsian, Spoon, KASA about our event
- Rebecca: reach out to CSA, TASC about our event
- Dan: reach out to NAHJ, Online News Association about our event
- Kerri: reach out to Asian American Dept., MSA about our event
- Audrey: reach out to The Daily, NBN + finalize Medill marketing
- (If you couldn't be at the meeting, but would like to help us out to spread the word, let me know who you're reaching out to!)
Also, we'll be having a potluck for our end-of-the-year celebration! Even if you haven't been at meetings, but you're interested in getting involved, please fill out this Doodle. We're always happy to meet new members who are interested in our cause :)
