2) Now that everything's finalized, let's blast those listservs! Here's the list again:
  • Cat: reach out to Sociology Dept., Watchdog and Stitch about our event
  • Sally: reach out to NNN, Medill (all BSJ groups) about our event
  • Andrea: reach out to NUAsian, Spoon, KASA about our event
  • Rebecca: reach out to CSA, TASC about our event
  • Dan: reach out to NAHJ, Online News Association about our event
  • Kerri: reach out to Asian American Dept., MSA about our event
  • Audrey: reach out to The Daily, NBN + finalize Medill marketing
  • Everyone else: send out to as many listservs as possible (any help is great!)

I've attached the flyer to send over listservs and here's a little blurb to send: 

AASJ will be hosting our very first speaker event next Thursday - with broadcast journalists Susanna Song from CBS Chicago and Nancy Loo from WGN-TV! 
In light of Asian/Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage month, we'll be having a roundtable discussion on diversity in the newsroom. Do join us and invite your friends! Food will be provided.
