Hello, 

my new Fold mobile phone (without ext. Sd card) Honor Magic v2 can no longer find installed Wikipedia dictionaries (e.g. dewiki20241101-vol-02.slob, or dewiki-20240101.slobol). When I try to add a dictionary, the error message "cannot open file" appears.

What is the cause? How can I continue to read Wikipedia articles offline in Aard2?

When you tap the "+" button, does the File chooser actually open? Can you browse files and directories? Does the message "cannot open file" appear when you select a slob file?

 

What is the cause?

 

Something must have changed in your phone, perhaps an operating system update? There were no updates to the app recently.

How can I continue to read Wikipedia articles offline in Aard2?

 Hard to suggest anything without a clearer understanding of what changed, maybe try putting dictionary files into a different directory?
