Today I have good news:
moving the zfs raid harddidsks from the US to Germany, the zfs raid broke.
After a two month struggle to recover data from the corrupt zfs raid I finally
got the data back.
The system is rebuilt in the new location in Germany.
And it is actually running to generate updated versions of the *.slob files.
Since yesterday evening it is synchronizing with ftp.halifax.rwth-aachen.de.
Thank you RWTH-Aachen for hosting the data.
The new updated version of the wikipedias will become avaliable as soon as
they are generated and synced.
