Microsoft have updated their windows client "Outlook".
Microsoft have also announced redesigned user interface for @live @hotmail @msn and other Microsoft emails.
New user interface have Windows 8 and Windows Phone like look, making the email use more simple, fast and easier. New email have integrated Facebook, Twitter and MSN messenger.

Microsoft new email domain registrations are open, many short nicks, names and good IDs are available for registration. Go grab your first name with @outlook.com

If you don't see new email user interface on your old ID then try to login from outlook.com

I think Microsoft's future email services focus is with Outlook name.
