Dear Colleagues,

We will start a new seminar next Wednesday 20.11. @ 14:15 in Y228a (will be shifted to 15:15 from 11.12. on), you are all very welcome to attend and give/propose talks. Kindly also distribute the info to potentially interested students and colleagues.

The talks will vary from pure maths to "pure engineering", meaning that some of the talks may not contain very much algebra or number theory, while other talks can be purely number theoretic. The main applications of interest include coding theory, wireless communications, algorithms, computing, distributed (cloud) storage.

The first talk will be by Capi Corrales from Autonomous Madrid on "Matrices and units in quaternion algebras". This topic is also related to space-time coding.

The webpage is under construction, and e.g. the organizer info is not complete yet, I will post you a new link as soon as we get the new page up and running.

Hope to see many of you in our new seminar!

On behalf of the organizers,

Camilla
