                                                             " Introduction to Android Programming: 24 Hrs Course" 

 

                                                    ( An opportunity for team members to review/strengthen their Android Skills)

         To prepare contents of 24 hrs duration to be broadcast through A-View/e-Studio to Workshop Remote Centers  in the month of Sep/Oct 2012.

 --- We have some past video lecture contents on android programming available to us. (Ninad)

 --- We have to design the course curriculum, identify and shortlist useful video portions from above contents.

 --- We have to prepare contents for portions missing from above available content.

 --- Additionally, We have to create new content that is not available but is needed for the syllabus.

 A rough task list is provided:

 Tasks:

1>         Learning Objectives:

“Equip students with sufficient android programming skills for developing educational apps. for Aakash Tab.” 

2>         Course Outline: topics to be covered in the course

3>         Course Prerequisites: minimum requirements for students to successfully complete this course. Provide links/brief contents for students to review before start of the course

4>         Detailed Syllabus: Describe topics in course outline distributed over 24 hrs.

     5>         View the available android video contents

6>         Select/Discard relevant video portions from available contents

7>         Identify Gaps: Make a list of topics/subtopics not covered

8>         New Content: Prepare missing and additionally required video/slide contents

9>         Quizzes and Assignments

10>      Course Webpage (optional)

This activity has to be done along with our routine tasks.

NOTE :

This is a voluntary activity as it requires team members to put in extra hours in addition to normal office hours.

Team members who wish to get involved in this should let me know by today evening.

I have allotted 2 days: 16th and 17th August for interested team members to brainstorm and complete Tasks 1 to 6  by dividing tasks among themselves.

Tasks 7 to 10 require new contents to be generated and will be done for no more than 2 hrs daily from 20th Aug ( recommended slot:  5pm to 7 pm) for the next 1 month.
