The Center for the Children of Immigrants is an initiative of First Focus dedicated to promoting the health, well-being, and success of children in immigrant families. We are looking for an energetic individual interested in helping to advance the Center’s work on immigration reform, administrative relief for immigrant families, and health and public benefit access for all children. The intern will assist with various tasks, including the following: attending coalition meetings, congressional briefings, Hill meetings, and rallies; tracking and analyzing relevant federal and state legislation; assisting in drafting testimony, policy briefs and materials; organizing project materials, information and resources; reviewing and summarizing published literature and other written materials; following news stories of relevance to our policy work and keeping policy team abreast of current events; and managing social media and other communication efforts.
