Kaya Leadership Program 2nd Annual Career Development Workshop

When: Saturday, July 19, 2014 from 12:30pm - 4:30pm

The Kaya Leadership Program Career Workshop will allow participants to effectively communicate their personal and professional skills, goals, and experiences; learn how their skills and experiences may be employed in different professional and post-graduate settings; and learn how their identity as an AAPI may influence their opportunities for professional advancement and development in the workplace.  

 

This 4-hour afternoon workshop includes 2 sessions: one on resume and cover letter drafting, interview tips, and mock interviews, and the second on post-undergraduate options for AAPIs and navigating the workplace for professional development opportunities. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. There will be a networking reception after the workshop.

 

First Session Panelists:

Second Session Panelists:

Charita Castro, Chief of Research and Policy, US Department of Labor

Dr. Neil Ruiz, Associate Fellow, The Brookings Institution
