“The Harbor's board president and treasurer told the Advance in June that unless dramatic steps are taken by the city and Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA), the entire complex in Livingston could be forced to shut down within a year.
“Mark Lauria, the board's chairman, has not returned multiple requests for an update on this threat.”

I don’t think her appointment to the Board of the New York City Economic Development Corporation is a “job” where she would leave Snug Harbor.

I agree – just thinking that sometimes these things are an indication that a person is spreading his or her focus elsewhere. Hard to say.
