Call for Paintings for 10th Indo-Pak Peace Calendar
Aaghaz-e-dosti Initiative
Every year, Aaghaz-e-Dosti launches an Indo-Pak Peace Calendar that includes selected paintings from students from both sides of the border. The importance of this calendar is that the calendar with the paintings of an innocent and apolitical mind will remind us that mindsets have been constructed. Together with the beautiful dreams of the young and innocent, the Calendar also has messages from people who have been actively working to nurture these dreams.
This calendar is a collection of shared dreams of peace and friendship. It serves as a hope shared by people who are just like us, in habit and struggle. With the turn of the pages to start a new month, the hope shall be renewed.
The Calendar launch is followed by a discussion or "Sharing of Hopes for a Peaceful and Friendly Co-existence"
Till now, Aaghaz-e-Dosti has launched nine calendars. This year, we will launch the 10th Indo-Pak Peace Calendar and we invite your school/organisation to participate and encourage young minds to imagine a conflict-free and prosperous subcontinent and the world.
Basic Guidelines:
1. Any Indian or Pakistani person studying in class VI-XII can participate.
2. Original Paintings on the theme of "Indo-Pak Peace" will be welcomed.
3. Painting needs to be scanned and sent to us.
4. On the back or on the second scanned page, please write the name, class, school name, branch, city and country, and email address. A caption or description of the painting also needs to be written.
