Dear all,

A warm reminder to fellow energy scholars, educators, and practitioners:

EESG's 5th Annual Energy Geographies Conference will be held virtually on Saturday, September 26th, 2026 from 12 PM-4 PM US Eastern Time. The initial abstract deadline was this past Friday, July 3rd; however, we understand people may be very busy, on holiday, hesitating, procrastinating, overcommitted, etc., so we will accept abstracts through Thursday, July 9th. We intend for this conference to be an inclusive space where we can meet, engage, share ideas, collaborate, and strengthen our community. Consider sharing your work or work-in-progress in this spirit. Or, nudge your brilliant colleague or graduate student to share their work... Anyone working on socio-spatial aspects of energy issues is welcome to submit, regardless of career type or stage.

  • Direct link to abstract submission portal: 5th Energy Geographies Conference Submission Portal [NOTE: Abstract deadline extended - submit yours by end of day Thursday, July 9th to be considered!]
  • Please Note:  Non-Members of the AAG will need to create a free login on www.aag.org to register for the event and access the submission portal.
We look forward to receiving some additional abstracts this week!

If you have any questions, just let me know.

Best wishes,
Tiffany, EESG Co-Chair
