Call for applications to participate in the workshop:
 
"Renewable Energy Transitions: Comparative Assessment in the Hindu Kush Himalayas, Andes and Alps,” to be held in virtual mode on three consecutive days, April 7–9, 2021, each day from 7am-9:30am U.S. MST (12:00-14:30 Argentina time, 16:00–18:30 Central European time, 19:45–22:15 Nepal time).

This virtual workshop aims to synthesize current understanding and address future challenges of energy transitions in mountain regions with an emphasis on renewable energy (solar, wind, biomass, geothermal and small-scale hydropower) in the context of climate change in the Hindu Kush Himalayas, Andes and Alps.  The event is jointly sponsored by the Himalayan University Consortium (of ICIMOD, International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development) and the Mountain Research Initiative (MRI) and will be coordinated by the University of Arizona’s Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy.  Further details can be found attached and at the following:
 
 
Attendance will be limited to 50 registered participants, including 15 invited experts and 35 participants. Interested researchers, advanced graduate students, policy makers, and practitioners should apply via the HUC Portal <https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/S7CGMLB> by 10 March 2021. Notification of acceptance will be communicated by 16 March 2021.
