Hey everyone!

I would like to take a moment to apprise you of some exciting and equitable structural changes we have made in EESG. Effective immediately, EESG’s leadership structure has been changed to a Co-Chair model. Instead of having one Chair, EESG now has two equally empowered Chairs, eliminating the position of Vice-Chair. We believe that this restructuring reflects our desire to operationalize our values, a leadership restructuring in alignment with our group’s commitment to JEDI principles.

Thus, I have the great privilege of introducing Dr. Tiffany Grobelski (Gustavus Adolphus College), unanimous voted into a promotion to Co-Chair! Dr. Grobelski has been an absolute pleasure to work with over the past few months, as both Vice-Chair and Co-Chair. Her bold leadership, expansive vision, strategic thinking, meticulous planning, accountable and dependable collaborative style is mixed with a very kind, compassionate and convivial spirit. Working with Dr. Grobelski in this group has been among the easiest and most enjoyable leadership experiences of my professional life. Thank you for your contributions and support. Dr. Tiffany Grobelski is a FORCE OF NATURE and we are so lucky to have her in our group!

Empowerment and peace,
Ryan Stock

This is an incredibly kind announcement. Thank you, Ryan. I am honored to serve the group in this way. EESG has been a guiding light in my own ongoing, non-linear journey through academia, especially when I developed my first undergraduate Energy Geography course back in 2019. This is such a great group.

I would like to encourage all EESG members to feel free to reach out to me and/or Ryan if you have comments, questions, or suggestions about our group.  This is our group, and all members should feel empowered to help shape it into the group they want and need. Do not hesitate to reach out with your ideas and suggestions, anytime. We are all ears.

I hope to meet and make connections with folks at the upcoming AAG in Detroit, and beyond.

All the best wishes,

Tiffany
