Dear AAG EESG members,

I want to share the most recent release of the visualization app of ERCOT’s generator outage/derate events (EGOVA) I programmed (https://bit.ly/EGOVA). This new version includes the files that ERCOT released on March 12th, disclosing the complete list of generators that self-reported outages or derate events from February 10th to 20th. The previous version of ERCOT’s files contained several redacted registers and did not include hundreds of records (first release: 1,797 / latest release:2,599).

Rather than using the information they published directly, I pre-processed it as described in the document that I’m attaching. This document is also available at https://bit.ly/EGOVADocument. To facilitate additional analysis by the energy community, I uploaded an Excel version of the database here https://bit.ly/EGOVADatabase.

Finally, I created a new visualization showing the progression of events from February 10th to 20th, using a one-minute time span and a one-hour time step. It is available at https://bit.ly/EGOVAVideo

If you are interested on learning more or collaborating please do not hesitate to reach out.

Kind regards,

Edgar Andrés Virgüez R.
