Role: Pentaho Developer

Location: Pittsburg, PA 

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Pentaho Developer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) and a strong understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and business intelligence. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions that support business analytics and reporting needs.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL jobs using Pentaho Data Integration (Kettle).

• Integrate data from various sources including databases, APIs, flat files, and cloud platforms.

• Optimize and troubleshoot existing ETL processes for performance and reliability.

• Collaborate with data analysts, business stakeholders, and other developers to understand data requirements.

• Implement data validation, cleansing, and transformation logic.

• Maintain documentation for ETL processes and data flows.

• Ensure data security and compliance with organizational standards.

 

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related field.

• 3+ years of experience in Pentaho Data Integration (PDI).

• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).

• Experience with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.

• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) is a plus.

• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
