Dear All,

Most of you already informed regarding FIR implementation from Sachin Sayal. Here i am posting for wider audience.

In-continuation of e-mail dated 07.05.2019 wherein all device Providers asked to do the changes in their RD service to provide Fingerprint Image Record (FIR) along with the Fingerprint Minutiae Record (FMR).

This changes will go on top of current production version so pls send request for version changes in staging.

Submit Delta Deceleration, Test Reports and Binary details to me Srinivas...@Uidai.net.in and cc Suraj...@uidai.net.in, sachi...@uidai.net.in.

Pls find below deceleration format.

Subject – FIR (Finger Image Record) implementation in RD Service

‘We, <company name>, certify that the changes in delta certification request are implemented for FIR implementation as per UIDAI Specifications’.

Specifications	Recommended Values	Implemented values
FIR Image Size	10KB to Max 15KB
FIR Image Type	WSQ/Jpeg2000 Only
Compression Method	Lossy compression (10:1 Ratio)

Hereby we declare that

1. There are no other changes done in this release other than FIR implementation as specified.

2. The changes are implemented on top of existing production version of RD services.

3. There is no architectural change from the solution which was approved by UIDAI.

4. The solution and delta changes are in line with the latest Registered Devices specifications and security guidelines issued by UIDAI.

5. We will submit the biometric devices, RD service and solution to UIDAI for physical testing/auditing whenever it is called for.

6. Once the current version changes are enabled in production, UIDAI can retain current version + previous version in production and remaining version can be deactivated within 3 weeks enablement in production.
