Hello all,

Looking for some clarification.  I was pretty sure that one or more of you were using ProloQuo 2 Go and that it wasn't overly expensive.  Am I missing something?

On another list serve, the person responded this:

go to the apple apps site and try to purchase it and it says not available
in the united states...

M and i are looking into it as a nice alterantive to the vmax when we are
out and about...the only way to purchase it in the united states is to go to
some site (i have the link if anyone is interested) buy it as a packaged
deal for 800.00 (50 dollar speakers, 8gb ipod touch, and the program) then
they send you a apple gift card with instructions on how to purchase the
program..

here's the purchasing information web site from the makers of Proloquo2go:  http://www.proloquo2go.com/buy/

they have several ways to buy it.  one includes getting package deal from one of their partners.(this must be what you described in your e-mail)  Another way include getting the software only, by downloading the app from iTunes.  obviously, in order to do this, you must already have an iphone/ipod touch.  the extra speakers are nice, but optional. you can pick up speakers later, choosing from the available types if you decide you need them.

If you find  for some reason that this info at their web site is wrong, let me know and I'll follow up to track down the current info.

Robin

I think if you synch your ipod with your itunes library on your computer, it should restore it, along with any music or other apps you had purchased.   You may have to go to "apps" once you have the ipod attached to the computer, and make sure that it is synching proloquo2go.  it may not do it automatically.  (it will take some time to do this--about an hour, I think).   It may also load any new updates for the software to your computer, so it can install the updated version. (plan more time for this, if it's been awhile since you've synched the ipod.)

Let me know if this works.

Robin
