No One Knows About Persian Cats
Recently released from prison, two young musicians decide to form a
band. Together they search the underworld of contemporary Tehran for
other players. Forbidden by the authorities to play in Iran, they plan
to escape from their clandestine existence, and dream of performing in
Europe. But with no money and no passports, it won’t be easy...

TAQWACOREL The Birth of Punk Islam
Taqwacore chronicles the nascent Muslim punk rock movement in America.
It was inspired by the work of Michael Knight, who converted to Islam
in rebellion against his white-supremacist father. He went on to pen
the novel The Taqwacores (a term combining the Muslim concept of God
consciousness with hardcore punk), a manifesto for disillusioned
Islamic teens. Soon young Muslim musicians were contacting him and a
tour idea was hatched


The Why
The Why is an experiential meditation on death, on loves lost, the
duality of mind, and ultimately the nature of attachment and memory
turned obsession. On Tuesday night, March 16, The U.S. Premier of The
film “The Why” will be the featured event at The First RxSM Self-
Medicated Film Expo, Sponsored by UV Vodka and hosted by The Belmont
in Austin Tx. “The Why” will be screened at 9:00 pm on the Patio as
part of a Triple-Feature of Award Winning Films.
