Dear Fellow Ateneans,

Greetings!

Kick off your Sinulog celebrations with the Sinulog Blue Night on January 14, 2011, 7PM, at Café Georg in Banilad, Cebu City.

This year’s Cebu Blue Night will be the first time that it will coincide with the festive Sinulog fiesta – making it a truly Cebuano celebration for alumni of the Ateneo de Manila University.

The Sinulog Blue Night is a tribute to special guest Fr. Bienvenido Nebres, SJ, Ateneo de Manila University President. Father Nebres is the longest-serving University President of the Ateneo. He will retire on March 31, 2011 after 18 years of dedicated service to the Ateneo community.

The event will also mark the launch of Ateneo Alumni Association Cebu’s support to the Ateneo Resident Students’ Scholarship Fund. This Fund is an ongoing project of Ateneo de Manila University with its alumni to support the food expenses of scholars residing in the campus dormitory.

Entrance is P350, inclusive of buffet dinner and drinks.

Guests will be treated to entertainment from the members of Serendipity Band, one of the best bands in Cebu today, and performances by Sinulog dancers. The event will be capped with a night of partying to a repertoire of familiar dance tunes.

Exciting door prizes also await lucky attendees.

Proceeds from this event will go to Project Eagles’ Nest – a fund-raiser for the new student dormitory at the Loyola campus.

The Sinulog Blue Night is organized by the Ateneo Alumni Association Cebu and is co-presented by Smart Communication and Cebu Landmasters.
