We are Amanda Lin and Schyler D'Souza, Director of Communication and Event Chair respectively, of the Asian American Association at OSU and it is our pleasure to be your AAA delegates for (insert org name here).
AAA is the umbrella organization that represents Ohio State’s pan-Asian American population to the university and the nation. We advocate for the Asian American student body’s needs, and build leaders among our community by connecting students to leadership & identity-growing resources, as well as larger APIA networks outside the university. We exist for the service of other Asian American groups on our campus, and for the welfare of Asian American students at Ohio State.
Being your delegate means that we will be the point-persons for your organization and will generally be available to communicate and work with you through AAA. As a delegate to your organization, we will occasionally attend a few meetings (general body, executive board, special events, etc.) per semester and will announce AAA events at meetings, so that you can meet and interact with our AAA executive board and vice versa. We believe that this setup will be extremely beneficial to both of our organizations in the future! I'm a third year International Studies and Strategic Communication Major. I'm Chinese! Besides AAA I am also vice president of Kappa Phi Lambda Asian-Interest Sorority and on the executive board of the Pilipino Student Association. As Director of Communication for AAA I am working towards improving interaction between AAA and our umbrella organizations as well as making ourselves easily accessible for any of your concerns and needs.
