AAA Organization Delegates

Hello CASA!
We are Connie Xu and George Yang, Assistant Director of Internal Communications and Advocacy Chair, respectively, of the Asian American Association at OSU and it is our pleasure to be your AAA delegates for CASA.
AAA is the umbrella organization that represents Ohio State’s pan-Asian American population to the university and the nation. We advocate for the Asian American student body’s needs, and build leaders among our community by connecting students to leadership and identity-growing resources, as well as larger APIA networks outside the university. We exist for the service of other Asian American groups on our campus, and for the welfare of Asian American students at Ohio State.
Being your delegate means that we will be the point-persons for your organization and will generally be available to communicate and work with you through AAA. As a delegate to your organization, we will occasionally attend a few meetings (general body, executive board, special events, etc.) per semester and will announce AAA events at meetings, so that you can meet and interact with our AAA executive board and vice versa. We believe that this setup will be extremely beneficial to both of our organizations in the future! Connie Xu:
I'm a Chinese American third year Marketing, International Business, and Chinese major with a minor in Asian American Studies. Besides AAA, I am also President of Students Hosting Overseas Chinese Connection and an Associate of Students Consulting for Non-Profit Organizations. As Assistant Director of Internal Communications for AAA, I hope to not only ensure communication within our organization, but also to improve interaction between AAA and other relevant organizations, as well as make ourselves easily accessible for any of your concerns and needs.
George Yang:
I am a second year Marketing major. I am Chinese. I am the public relations chair for both the Vietnamese Student Association and Chinese American Student Association. As advocacy chair for AA, I educate the Asian American community and the buckeye community about Asian American Issues and organize events that deal with Asian American issues.
