Careful.  It may be a way to get electrocuted.  I'm not sure how many hairdryers take care to properly ground the device.  Not many have a three pronged plug.   Nearly saw my brother get electrocuted in the late 1940s when using an electric drill outdoors before grounding standards were commonplace.
