Hello A2VIG members:

I need your collective wisdom. In the fall, www.mitechnews.com will be launching a video news service. What that means is when I am in the field doing interviews or covering events, I will bring a video camera to shoot short video interviews, say around 90 seconds.

What I'd like to get is your recommendations for the camera(s) I need to purchase, some simple lighting perhaps and the audio recording equipment. In most cases this will be a one-man job so keep that in mind. Also I use a Macbook Pro so I need to know what editing software I should purchase.

I also will need help and advice on shooting opening and closing billboards, the intros and outros. Say 10 to 15 seconds each. I might even hire some of you to do that for me.

I will be attending the September event. Already worked that out with Roger. I will bring some story boards that I want your input on to help me - and old print journalist who has learned a lot of new tricks - craft solid video productions.

My contact information is below.
