Attention filmmakers, video producers & animators in Washtenaw County.

Open Call

The AADL's "Ann Arbor 200" will have a series of short films produced by local film/video/media makers, to be completed and released in 2024, as part of Ann Arbor's bicentennial in 2024. Each commissioned filmmaker will be provided a modest but reasonable budget to independently research, create and deliver a short film/video in 2024. The total # of projects in the Ann Arbor 200 Film Series is limited, so not every filmmaker in Washtenaw County who's interested & experienced will be commissioned. The deadline to complete the Filmmaker Survey and receive consideration is September 25, 2023. Everyone who completes the survey will be contacted, whether commissioned or not, by the end of October.

P.S. I'm serving as the series producer for AADL and will provide some producing support for each project. But each commissioned filmmaker will need to have the capacity to independently create (e.g., research, treatment, camera & audio, editing, etc.) a successful short film within the budget and scope of the series.
