Youth League 2015 - Volunteers Needed!

Hello ultimate community,

I'm coordinating the youth summer league (Tuesday nights!) and we've got a bunch of great kids out playing. Last night was the first night of the league.

I need adult volunteers! It's an easy job. You only need to know the basic rules, be able to help set up a field, and make some simple safety calls. If you are willing to donate two hours of your time to the cause, please SIGN UP on this spreadsheet:

We do not need two volunteers each week, but it might be a good idea to have a backup / alternate person --- and, of course, it's nice not to be the only adult on the sideline. Please list your phone number on the sheet, too, so other volunteers can get in touch if something comes up.

Here are the basic expectations for youth league adult volunteers:

- bring cones and a disc. The kids won't remember to do this.

- have a cell phone. If anyone loses consciousness (gets knocked out) or hurt really badly call an ambulance.

- enforce the 30 minute thunder / lightning delay.

- help folks learn the rules, teach stuff if they seem interested in learning, and basically help keep the spirit of the game positive.

- have fun!

Sam!  Looks like I only have view access to the spreadsheet, but I wanna sign up!  I can't really play yet, but I can definitely hang out and wrangle some teens for a few evenings. :-)
