It is not on the Washtenaw Farm Council site's Calendar either,
and they are HOSTING the event:
... http://www.washtenawfarmcouncil.org/
Can one of the event organizers please contact them about that???

There seems to be a serious breakdown in publicity. Yea I know it's tough
when the location changes at such a late date, but I've seen NOTHING
in the public popular media - only what we're sending to each other online.

OOC, Has ANYONE contacted the AA & Detroit Media yet, so they will
come and cover the event? (Det News, Det Freep, TV, local Radio, etc...?)
It -should- be in each of THEIR online "Calendar of Events" listings as well.

Keith,

before a week ago, we were at the NZ which could only house 150-200 people (after the booths were in place).  We didnt push major publicity because we didnt want 1000 people showing up.  Sometimes things change, often too late.

AnnArbor.com will be putting up an article today about the event, and i will make sure it goes out in the daily newsletter as well.  We are also going on a radio show tomorrow morning to talk about the event.

OOC, what about now? Do you want a major media push now that it is in a
better place, and can handle more people?

Who is the official Media Contact for A2MF, that we can refer media inquiries to?

Which station?

Has the Detroit TV media been contacted? It would be great to get a TV
news truck out there (because Michigan sure could use a GOOD news
story for a change... :-)

You may also want to inform UM's Media department.
It's obviously too late for the UM Record, but it may still make their website.
