Most of the recent traffic here has ONLY been spam.

Since it'll be close to a year until the next event (and we still only have
35 members to date), will one of the account owners ***PLEASE*** either:
- turn on a good (or better) CAPCHA
- activate "Moderator Approval Required to join"
- ask them to fill in a "Why do you want to Join" form that needs review
by a Moderator and their Action to approve, or
- send a basic form email challenge to new members, that
requires a simple English reply text instead of a Click Here to Activate?

Any one of these acts will typically prevent over 99% of the
spammers from doing their hit-and-run on the group, because
they are unwilling (or unable) to cope or reply to the simplest challenge.

I do this with the lists I run. It is simple, and my lists are spam free.

I'd advise simply making it Moderator Approval Required to Join. With such
a small list, I can't imagine this would really be a big burden to the list owners.

What do you think?

Thanks!
- Keith Mc.

Sorry about the spam all, I didn't notice any of it due to gmail's spam filter. I'll turn on some sort of approval system.
