Here are the details about the position we have open right now. 

 

The position is located in Okemos, MI. It will run through May 2012 with a very good possibility for extending past that date.  I currently have 2 people working there, and know the client well.  I can afford to pay someone the $35-$40/hr range.   Here are some highlights:

 

Full time on site (40 hrs week)

HTML/CSS/XML experience

Javascript, JSP tags

Consistent error free hand coding

Need to have a web based portfolio

 

 

Below is some feedback we received from the client on a few different sites. It might help the right person know what the client is looking for:

 

·         Home page alone has 13 errors

o   has two opening HTML tags

o   meta tags are not properly closed

o   Invalid paragraph attributes

·         Inline CSS + External

·         Element-level styles on some of the pages

·         Nothing is indented – Everything’s flush left (as if generated?)

·         Empty H1 tag used for spacing (contains a non-breaking space)

The site has the same basic feel on every page, yet the page “shifts around” as you navigate between the pages

 

·         Home page has 14 errors

·         Invalid meta tags (seems to have confused a CSS include w/a meta tag)

·         Tags inconsistently closed

·         Doctype of HTML/Transitional, but most tags closed ala XHTML

·         Embedded CSS + External

·         Element-level CSS, in addition to Embedded + External

·         Mixing UPPERCASE and lowercase tags

·         Table-based layout

·         Improper image alignment (align=absmiddle)

·         Code is poorly formatted (again, generated?)

·         Inline JS

·         Poor CSS naming (style3, style4, etc.)

·         Poor design decisions

·         Paragraphs within table cells, which contains divs, and those divs contain other tables
