In case you haven’t heard about it, I wanted to let you all know about Self.conference, the multi-discipline tech conference happening right here in Detroit May 30th and 31st! With Detroit DevDays on indefinite break, Erika Carlson & I have decided to start something new to be the next evolution of DevDays, meaning just as awesomely valuable and affordable and located in Detroit. Like 1DevDay, we’re accepting (and very excited to see) tech talks from web to mobile to embedded software and everything inbetween, as well as soft talks about teams or processes to startups, all the way to hardware talks, with stuff like Arduino or Raspberry Pi.

Talk submissions close on March 28th. I realize might be short notice given the date of this email, so please let me know if you might need a little extra time. We'd love to hear from you, even if we have to wait a little longer!

Early bird rates are also currently in effect, and are available through April 4th. We are also offering discounted prices for students and groups. We are very excited about this first year of Self.conference, and can't wait to see you all May 30th!
