I just posted a live example, with a CK-12 Geometry textbook that Bookshare has available in its library.
I marked it up with RDFa tags, and it can be seen at
http://www.a11ymetadata.org/the-specification/examples/live-examples/
I recommend that you all take a look at this example of the content. I have places comments in the source code.
What you will find is that this page, which points to both DAISY and braille, has metadata for the union of the two formats, as the metadata appears to be extracted for the full page without hierarchy (someone can correct me if I am wrong).
The metadata synopsis is
rdfa-node
type: Book
relationship:
name: isAdapatationof
href: http://www.ck12.org/book/Geometry/
property:
accessMode: textual
name: CK-12 Geometry (A11Y Metadata Tagged)
author: Ck-12 Foundation
bookFormat: DAISY3
mediaFeature: braille
isbn: 9781935983002
publisher: CK-12 Foundation
learningResourceType: Textbooks
If anyone marks up a content sample, using the format I took on this page (and borrowed from LRMI), I'd be glad to host this on the website. It was a very userful experience to put the work of the past four months into practice. Now we just need an implementation
or two of test metadata so that i can be indexed and the value demonstrated.
