Details

Title: Users don't see the dial pad on Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) on Windows devices

User impact: Users don't see the dial pad on MTR on Windows devices.

Current status: We've validated a code regression in a recent build of Microsoft Teams which caused the dial pad User Interface (UI) elements to be missing on MTR devices. We've expanded the scope of our communications to encompass all users potentially affected by this regression and we've updated the "Title", "User impact", and "Scope of impact" sections of our communications to reflect this change. We're deploying a code fix to restore the missing UI elements which we anticipate will reach affected users by the end of Thursday, February 5, 2026, which will allow us to validate impact remediation at that time.

Scope of impact: Your organization is affected by this event, and users don't see the dial pad on MTR on Windows devices. This section may be updated as the investigation progresses.

Start time: Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 3:00 PM UTC

Estimated time to resolve: We anticipate impact to be resolved by the end of Thursday, February 5, 2026.

Root cause: A code regression in the latest build of Microsoft Teams caused the dial pad User Interface (UI) elements to be missing.

Next update by: Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 7:00 PM UTC
