Preliminary root cause: A traffic routing issue caused infrastructure in Japan to become unhealthy, which ultimately blocked users from successfully connecting to Microsoft 365 and Copilot services.
Next steps:
- We’re evaluating our network traffic routing flows to improve overall performance and help reduce future service disruptions.
We'll provide a preliminary Post-Incident Report within two business days and a final Post-Incident Report within five business days.
