Title: Users may have been unable to access Microsoft OneDrive content
User impact: Users may have been unable to access Microsoft OneDrive content.
Final status: We identified that a section of OneDrive infrastructure was performing below acceptable performance thresholds and resulting in impact. We redirected user traffic to alternate infrastructure in attempt to restore the service. We’ve confirmed, after a period of monitoring service telemetry, that the issue is mitigated.
Scope of impact: All users trying to access OneDrive content that are served by the affected infrastructure in Tokyo may have been impacted.

End time: Monday, November 17, 2025, at 2:11 PM UTC
Root cause: A section of OneDrive infrastructure was performing below acceptable performance thresholds, resulting in impact.
Next steps:
- We'll continue to closely monitor the affected environment to ensure the service remains healthy, and we'll review our service resilience processes to help us reduce or avoid similar issues in the future.
