User impact: Users may have been unable to use multiple Microsoft Teams features.
More info: Based on our telemetry, multiple Microsoft Teams features were affected such as:
- Live Events
- 1:1 Calling
- PSTN Calling
- Joining Meetings
- Creating Meetings
- Meeting General Functionality
- Town Hall Functionality
Final status: After a period of extended monitoring, we have confirmed that the issue is resolved.
Scope of impact: This issue could have affected any user located in Asia-Pacific.
Start time: Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 1:00 AM UTC
End time: Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 2:00 AM UTC
Root cause: We determined that maintenance related work in the region was inadvertently causing impact to service health. We will provide more information regarding the root cause within our Post-Incident Report.
Next steps: We're actively reviewing the maintenance work that resulted in this issue to identify the underlying cause and how to prevent it from occurring again.
We'll provide a preliminary Post-Incident Report within two business days and a final Post-Incident Report within five business days.
