As all of you know, I am one of those who had dreams of serving in one of the high offices at the AUC, and elections did not convert that dream into reality. All the same, the journey was inspiring and a steep learning experience, and I wish to express my heartfelt appreciation and thanks to all of you for your support, well wishes and prayers. I now realize that instead of reaching out to colleagues and networks only when I need campaign help, I should live my life reaching out broadly, as if I am campaigning.

Have your peace Dr Chigwedere. Elective offices have their own dynamics. Its not your qualifications only. There is money, politics etc. Take comfort and fortitude in the knowledge that you are eminently qualified, you tried, with your best foot forward, it was a learning curve, will do better next time!

I happen to know that in terms of quality credentials and the work you have done so far in your career, you were at the top of the list of candidates in your chosen section. So we know it's not because you're incapable but because of political shenanigans. It was also a learning process hey.

Greater heights you shall scale indeed!!!
