Here is an intoxicating way to honor your body with love and
gratitude. Today you will concentrate on that very overlooked and
overworked part of your body, namely your feet! Did you ever consider
how lucky you are to have feet? Do yours work? By that I mean, can you
walk? Well then, my friend, you have already won the lottery so to
speak. Even if you can't walk, you can still appreciate and love your
feet.
First, find some lotion-any kind will do. If you like a particular
fragrance or have a favorite body lotion, use it for this. Now let's
make your feet very happy.
Lie down and get comfortable. You may fall asleep by the time this
exercise is over, so perhaps you want to go to your bed. Now start
lovingly and gently applying lotion to your feet, one at a time. Go
slowly-no rushing allowed. Take the time now to appreciate every
aspect of your foot. Actively practice gratitude.
Feel for the pulse on the very top of your foot, this is your dorsalis
pedis. Sometimes you can feel it easily. Other times, it may be faint
or next to impossible to feel. If you can find it, feel your very
heart as it gently beats and delivers the lifeblood to your feet.
Pretty amazing, yes?...
