RVCC School Tour 2024
December 11, 2024
Final Schedule and Information
Dear A B B+ Choirs and families,
I’m so happy that we’re able to have the School Tour this year. For most of you, this is NEW! But for me, it is an RVCC tradition from 1987-2019 and then, due to the pandemic we weren’t able to have it in 2020 and 2021 and then in 2022 and 2023 we didn’t have money to pay for busses. With thanks to a generous donation we’re able to bring it back this year and hopefully keep it ongoing for many years to come.
Our goal with the School Tour is to bring Holiday music and fun to elementary students, and to also let them experience the artistically trained voices and professionalism in our group. We would love to recruit more singers in this performance endeavor, but our main purpose is to be an enriching experience for all and to spread the joy of the Choral Art.
Each of our choirs will sing one of their solo songs for the students, and we’ll sing 4 Sing-A-Long Holiday songs together! It’s a lot of fun for everyone with an added bonus that our choristers gain valuable performance experience.
There is detailed information below about the schedule and the day.
**The School Tour is a required RVCC performance. Choristers must be registered on Active Network to participate. (there is no cost, but we need the registration to be completed)
Please let me know if you have any questions, or you can ask one of the Volunteer Chairs, who are doing a great job!
