Hello All,

If you're getting this message, most likely you participated in the open meeting last month on nature trails and bike paths in the area between Centenary College and Magnet High School.

The education committee that formed at that meeting has since met, and we'll be meeting again to hear from them, but also to organize the other committees and the overall group.

We will meet from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday the 30th.  Like last time, we'll meet at Centenary College's Hurley Music School's room 201. 

This will be a meeting convened by ABetterShreveport.org which meets each Monday evening around some theme.  That Monday the theme will be how to organize ourselves and move forward in preserving and creating nature trail and bike ways in this part of our city.

Please join us on 30th if you can, and if you have any questions or comments, let us know.  I'll be making a google group out of this email list, but in the meantime, feel free to use this list for questions and discussion.

It's amazing what art can do to highlight an area, an event, an epoch, etc.  Regardless of the real exhibition form it might take, maybe a digital exhibit could be made in the form of a set of web pages connected to a general Coates Bluff page at ABetterShreveport.org.  There's one there now, btw, but it needs to be updated.

Have talked a few artists to see what they thought about doing a show highlighting the area, and got very positive response.  Will be meeting with a group soon (we are sort of a loose association)  and will see if I can get something a bit firmer.  The interest is there.
