Dear Coates Bluff Enthusiasts,

On Monday, July 11, the ABetterShreveport.org meeting will focus on our Coates Bluff Nature Trail marketing document and concept map.    I have drawn the actual trail (coarsely), and the two proposed links.  Please review what I drew, and then it will become part of the map for everyone!  Using the 'Add' box, you can label points, lines, and polygons very easily!  Add your wishlist of activities, and we will all review on July 11.

WHEN:  6pm-7pm
WHERE:  Montessori School, 2605 C E Galloway Boulevard

More specifics on where at the Montessori we will meet, but in the meantime, please sign up or visit our online activity site, Edmodo.com, Sign up as a teacher, and choose an ID, then click on join group and put in this code: cc3yf1

Some have already posted grant opps, a map, a document, and photos/videos.  Please post and comment over the next week! A group of artists have begun planning an art event for Coates Bluff--artists, please share more about this on Edmodo.

A few of us have volunteered to contact the related entities that were discussed at our last meeting (blog).  If you can think of someone else that may be interested in coming to our meeting, tell them now so that they can put it on their calendars!

Pick one of these focus areas, or invent your own!  Just think about how you'd like to contribute and share with us at the meeting.  Since we are doing this first leg on a volunteer budget, we are going to need all the help we can get!

  1. Education and Curriculum Development. Jeanne, Robert, Deborah and Jon
  2. Transportation Connectivity Loren, Maurice, Donna, Tim and Stephen
  3. History Archeology− (Need to recruit working group leaders)

Dear Coates Bluff Enthusiasts,

Thank you for attending our third planning meeting.  The minutes are posted to the blog.  A proposal is being prepared for surveying, design, and deeding the conservation easement. The google map is going to have to be redone to a google earth map since we are adding PROPOSED elements via Google Maps editors message sent to me that proposed elements are not allowed.

Our next meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 15.

Thanks,
Stephanie
