If you have received a copy of an email like the one below, this is
because during the just ended Council meetings of ASF and WSF (8-11
November 2010), I tentatively I registered ZAMSOF/SASF/FEMNET as
would-be actors for the WSF-Extnded activities.
I thoguht it necessary register for this innovative event because I
didn't want my constituency to miss out considering that all the
planning for this event will be done on listserve.
WSF-Extended is about holding self-organised activities outside the
campus of University of Senegal in Dakar (surbarbs/shanty towns) and
holding discussions by a webcam link with grassroots audiences outside
Senegal in 3 locations (e.g. for SASF could be Lusaka, Harare,
Lilongwe, etc). I tentatively registered 6 events for Dakar-extended
and about 8 webcam-links, in total.
Therefore, if any of the member organizations of ZAMSOF or SASF are
willing to undertake such activities please RESPOND directly to the
IC-WSF-Extended team with a copy to me. BUT also read for more details
